Defendants Athene London Assignment Corporation (f/k/a Aviva London Assignment Corporation), Athene Holding Ltd. (“AHL”) , and Athene Annuity and Life Company (successor to Aviva Life Insurance Company) (collectively, “Athene Defendants”) and Plaintiff John W.Griffiths have reached a class-wide settlement (“Settlement”) of the structured settlement class action, subject to approval by the Massachusetts District Court and the Board of Directors of AHL. According to papers submitted to Court on September 28th, the remaining Defendant, Aviva International Insurance Limited (f/k/a CGU International Insurance, plc)(“CGU”), is engaged in active settlement discussions with Plaintiff, and the parties hope to obtain a global resolution of this matter.
