"I was emailing in hopes that you wouldnt mind answering a few questions without getting a sales pitch. All the others that I had emailed and have seen on the net were "cash now types" and have no concern of me and just are looking for my money.
When I came across your site and blog I realized that you are an upstanding guy and are not like the others you find when searching the net. That's why I emailed you".-TC
The above excerpt comes from an email sent to me by individual who is in the process of settling his perosnal injury case. On the 3rd anniversary of this blog, after 1530 posts, it is certainly is gratifying to receive such an email.
The structured settlement consumer's email illustrates several points:
-
Tort victims do their own research and often use the Internet to do their research.
-
The tort victim's impression makes it clear that the market place confusion created by false and/or misleading advertising "cash now pushers" and "financial crack dealers" is a hindrance to tort victim's efforts to get the relevant information they need.
