In May 2017 Insurer Aegon NV (AGN.AE) agreed to sell its two largest U.S. runoff businesses, the payout annuity business, inclduing structured settlement annuities and the bank owned/corporate owned life insurance business to its peer, Wilton Re.
There was a switch to Third Party Administrator in 2018 after the annuity issuers stopped writing structured settlement annuities in early 2000s and Run-Off business sold to Wilton Re by AEGON N.V.
Following the acquistion of these companies by Wilton Re, the payments have been serviced by Alliance One out of Nashville, TN
