Taub Capital Group of Brooklyn, New York asks the following questions in an example of predatory advertising targeted to New York structured settlement annuitants. First the four questions,  a veritable "Ma Nishtana" passing over New York structured settlement annuitants…

  • Are you in a financial crisis?
  • Are you still holding your dreams?
  • Are you willing to buy a new house or car?
  • Are you postponing your holidays year to year?

Taub Capital Group's  imperfect English continues "We do know the reason behind the answer of all these questions — NO CASH. It is evident that all the monthly salary and other income vanish in compassing (sic) needs of life. Your monthly annuity payments also spend in small bits of daily needs. We do understand that you have tried to save money but it is not possible with today's inflation  [what inflation????]. But, we can help you out from this situation; all you need is money, CASH, in lump sum".

And here is Taub Capital Group's unbelievable lie to NY structured settlement annuitants.

"The money that you will get in bits for years in future; we give you all at once".
Taub Capital Group's statement is a lie because if you sell structured settlement payments to Taub Capital group and enter into a structured settlement factoring transaction,  you will receive a lump sum, but not for all your payments, not to mention all your payments at once.  When you go down the path of selling structured settlement payments, your future payments are discounted at an effective rate that includes Taub Capital Group's costs and profit margin.
Taub Capital Group's failure to qualify its statement is sums up just another example of the untruthful advertising that is endemic to the structured settlement secondary market.
