by Structured Settlement Watchdog
Structured Settlements 4Real continues to uncover, question and expose business practices and/or misinformation which could mislead consumers in areas concerning structured settlements, settlement planning, structured settlement factoring and professional credentials of individuals and companies in or writing about those industries.
There are numerous examples where after 1205+ posts in 2 1/2 years, such exposure has proven an effective deterrent and/or has helped "clean up the neighborhood". Whether you are drawn to the "sweet sarcasm" or not, considerable productive discourse has been a result. That was and continues to be our intent in stirring up the pot.
While most comments and feedback about our posts are complimentary, from time to time I get a flaming email from someone with more "chips" (on their shoulder) than Silicon Valley. It could be as trivially amusing as someone too lazy to run spell check, or claiming to be "on the high road" after hyping a professional designation without the correct facts or worse, one that does not exist. It doesn't really matter when it comes to misinformation, does it? It's still misinformation!
If your feathers have been ruffled understand that it is simply not practical to pick up the phone and contact every person or company that is written about in advance.
The bottom line is don't give us something to write about!
