6% to 7% taxable stable guaranteed returns (varies deal by deal)

What is the after tax yield on a secondary market purchase of structured settlement payment rights?

Based on information that is currently circulating, 6-7% IF purchased via your tax qualfied plan (IRA, 401K, defined benefit, profit sharing plan-though you will be taxed eventually, when you withdraw funds from the plan).  To figure out your after tax yield, if not considering via your qualified plan,  you may find this chart to be  helpful.

Primary market qualified structured settlements offer stable guaranteed attractive income tax exempt yields for those eligible to receive them (generally injury victims, wrongful death claimants and workers compensation claimants) and tax deferred yields for non qualified structured settlements (structured legal fees, divorce, environmental clean up, wrongful life, wrongful birth, employment related etc.). Returns vary by duration and design of payments.
