Parents of children with disabilities may be able to take advantage of certain tax breaks. Are you aware of them?
As we are right in the middle of tax season it's important to take stock of what you have and what you can do to improve your bottom line.
Michael A. O' Connor of the Chicago, IL based law firm Mauk & O'Connor has written a helpful guide "Year 2006 Tax Benefits for Parents of Children with Learning Disabilities". O'Connor states "It's likely that 15-30 percent of families with a disabled child have one or more unclaimed tax benefits". WOW!
Do yourself a favor and read O'Connor's article. Discuss it with your CPA. Don't lose out. Information is at hand to help you!
