J G Wentworth is not an insurance licensed structured settlement broker. As previously posted it is not listed on the website of the insurance department of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, its home resident state and in several other states I checked. Restructuredsettlement(dot)com is domain name registered, at the time of posting, to J.G. Wentworth S.S.C. LP of 40 Morris Ave. Bryn Mawr, PA 19010.
On March 10, 2006 a Yahoo search of the key words " structured settlement brokers" comes up with (among other things) this:

The words "structured settlement broker" do not appear on the restructuredsettlement.com web page when you click through, so one can deduce that they are embedded in the code written into the web page to come up in the search engine results. A programmer must create that code.
I've already covered restructured settlement in my post titled " Restructured Settlements: Are You Kidding Me?"
Today my message is that if you are a company, or representative of a company that holds itself out as a structured settlement purchaser, structured settlement buyer, structured settlement factoring company, cash flow company or if you are one of these types of companies and holding yourself out to be a "structured settlement broker" tread carefully.
Care should be taken by all companies engaged in the purchase of structured settlement payment rights to not state anything in their advertising that implies, or might confuse or lead a potential consumer into believing that they are an insurance licensed structured settlement broker, if they are not a insurance licensed structured settlement broker.
