Continuing to set a poor example as an advertiser in the factoring industry, Novation Capital has a web page page header of emblazoned with "Find A Structured Settlement". That is also how it comes up in search engine results. The web page itself is a compendium of Structured Settlement Protection Acts, but there is nowhere to "find a structured settlement".
Novation Capital is a factoring company, the sort that purchases the rights to receive structured settlement payments from tort victims. It’s chief executive, Robin Marc Shapiro, is President of the National Association of Settlement Purchasers (NASP). Therefore HE should be setting a better example with his own company. By contributing to the initial interest confusion problem and apparently not delivering as advertised to someone who is "looking to find a structured settlement" what is Novation’s excuse? And while you’re at it enjoy some rotten bananas with your friends in the Structured Settlement Aper’s Pillory.
Structured settlements are used in resolution of claims and lawsuits. They are available from licensed insurance agents and brokers known as structured settlement brokers or settlement planners. An alternative periodic payment mechanism, using obligations of the United States Government as a "qualified funding asset", and institutional trustees, is available via The Halpern Group.
Structured Settlement Aper’s Pillory. It’s the case of monkey see-monkey do. But in this case it’s NOT flattering!
