Lion Grace Rep Sara George Identifies as an Annuity on Linkedin
New details have emerged regarding the approach to a teenage annuitant’s mother by
Sara M. George, a Florida based factoring operative, who I observed “identifies as an annuity” in her Linkedin profile Sara George – Annuity – Annuity Company _ LinkedIn, whose predatory scheme was the subject of my August 2, 2024 blog New Structured Settlement Factoring Company Predatory Phone Number Capture Scheme? – Structured Settlements 4Real® Blog: Structured Settlements | Settlement Planning News and John Darer Reviews
Sara George from Lion Grace claimed to a Payee’s mother that Sara “must annually make filings with the (California) District Court”
That was False
The following is an excerpt of a text sent from 954-882-2626 to the mother of a California teenager with a structured settlement by a representative of a Florida factoring company that is known for a marketing focus on virgin structured settlement annuitants (never sold payments before)
“_________my name is Sara, I was appointed as the annuity analyst in regards to ______with the District Court.
Please keep in mind this must be completed. I must annually file the review with the court.
The job of the compliance department is to protect annuitant in any future decisions they make regarding their policy. If and when you ever have a need to restructure or accelerate your payments I can assist you.
Many factoring companies will call you and try to purchase your annuity. You can access your money early if you need too “. (sic)

Sara George announced intent to block off the competition from other buyers
“Lastly”, writes Sara George in the text “I am going to place you on the National Do Not Call registry today, you will confirm in your email. If you god forbid fall into a situation where pulling the annuity is in your best interest we will make sure you’re receiving the money you deserve”.
Curious that Sara George would engage in this tactic when in California there is mandatory Independent Professional Advice. The ruse would have been up.
“Independent professional advice” means advice of an attorney, certified public accountant, actuary, or other licensed professional adviser meeting all of the following requirements:
(1) The adviser is engaged by a claimant or payee to render advice concerning the legal, tax, or financial implications of a structured settlement or a transfer of structured settlement payment rights.
(2) The adviser’s compensation for rendering independent professional advice is not affected by occurrence or lack of occurrence of a settlement or transfer.
(3) A particular adviser is not referred to the payee by the transferee or its agent, except that the transferee may refer the payee to a lawyer referral service or agency operated by a state or local bar association.
It is unfortunate that Ms. George, in her remarks on “pulling the annuity,” revealed a lack of essential understanding of structured settlements.
Two Key Points to Highlight:
1. No structured settlement payee owns the annuity funding their structured settlement.
There is no way that Sara Marie George could have “pulled the annuity”.. Even the annuitant could not have pulled the annuity.
2. Lion Grace does not purchase structured settlement annuities, as they are legally prohibited from doing so.
This can be easily verified through an audit of their transactions or by examining the California Structured Settlement Protection Act, relevant sections of the Internal Revenue Code, or any settlement agreement.
Ms.George regularly sent text messages to the teenager’s mother from 954-882-2626, copies of which have been obtained by the Structured Settlement Watchdog.
