Annuity.org / Structuredsettlements.com Structured Settlement Social Media Road Kill

by Structured Settlement Watchdog

Social media road kill

Pure road kill. Launch That’s Annuity.org and structuredsettlements.com suck at giving accurate information

In the following examples,  dead wrong is highlighted in yellow.

1. “Temporary life annuities provide payments for your entire life but no money for beneficiaries when you die”.

Comment:  Temporary vs entire life?

2. “Structured settlements are lawsuit awards that are given to the recipient in a stream of periodic payment”

Comments: A settlement is not an award. Therefore a structured settlement is not an award, A structured settlement is not “given” to the recipient like a pair of iconic pumps from Jimmy Choos.  Structured settlements are negotiated. With a structured settlement the person or entity receiving the structured settlement payments is the “payee”. Up until the time the legal case is settlement the payee might have been a plaintiff or a claimant (if no lawsuit was filed at the time the matter is settled).

3. “Structured settlements don’t affect an individual’s ability to qualify for other forms of aid. Meaning, if someone is set to receive a settlement, the money they receive from it does not affect their ability to qualify for Medicaid, Social Security and other disability benefits” StructuredSettlements.com and “Income from structured settlement payments also does not affect your eligibility for Medicaid, Social Security Disability benefits or other forms of aid”-Annuity.org

Comments:  This is where Structuredsettlements.com and Annuity.org fail consumers and provide dangerously bad information.  Work with people who understand which public benefits are asset sensitive and which are not, not unlicensed content barfers from structuredsettlements.com and annuity.org.  I will shortly be publishing the story of how a unrelated  Florida based structured settlement factoring company’s actions are alleged to have caused a loss of public benefits for the seller.

4. Structuredsettlements.com continues to misrepresent that Chronovo and Liberty Mutual are “structured settlement issuers”.

Comment: If they meant annuity issuers, neither Chronovo nor Liberty Mutual ever issued structured settlements, or annuities.

Lauren Terfehr Zelek and Ronnie Zelek are involved in management positions for marketing at Orlando based digital marketing company Launch That!, which is connected to these online properties. According to the Launch That! website  its vision “is to create the most valuable digital brands”.

Terfehr Zelek still hasn’t resolved issues as set forth in a tweet to correct something from over 4 years ago. My January 13, 2016 blog Annuity.Org & Structured Settlements.com | Doesn’t CBC Settlement Funding Care About Accuracy? – Structured Settlements 4Real®Blog, includes a screenshot of a tweet to Lauren Terfehr and her then prompt response.  “We pride ourselves on providing our readers with accurate info and are looking into this issue“. It may be worth noting that in the 4 years since Terfehr Zelek made the tweet and did nothing, Ms. Zelek got a divorce, married a company superior and had a baby. Judging by Annuity.org and Structuredsettlements.com, It’s obvious that Launch That! doesn’t give a loaded nappy about quality when it comes to structured settlements. And for that reason, in my opinion,  you should say as they do on Shark Tank  ” I’m Out”
