Why Is Sovereign Funding “Papering Over” David Springer?

by Structured Settlement Watchdog®

A November 14, 2009 press release about the Scott Rothstein Ponzi scheme, originally attributed to Sovereign Funding CEO David Springer, has been comically sabotaged on the Sovereign Funding Group website. The awkward revision credits a mysterious James Golstein (sic), yet the editor seems to have lost steam halfway through, leaving David Springer’s name dangling awkwardly. Truly, a chef-d’œuvre of slapdash cover-up artistry!

  • I even reference David Springer’s work and gave Springer kudos for the original in Spring Forward Don’t Fall Back, my blog post of November 24, 2012.
  • The October 2012 attempted paper over, states that James Golstein (sic)  was the CEO and not David Springer as the original stated.
  • A bit of a snirtle in all of this is that if James Goldstein really was the CEO of Sovereign Funding Group on November 19, 2009 then he would have been demoted because on November 28, 2012 he is listed as the VP Sales & Marketing.

Postscript

  • After “James Goldstein” was summoned to be deposed in June 2013, David Springer ADMITTED in his own deposition and trial testimony that he completely made up the name James Goldstein (as suspected), as well as a number of other aliases (which were deceptively used in social media and even a Better Business Bureau listing).
  • The egregious behavior by the Mt Airy based Springer included David Springer endorsing himself through his fake identities on LInkedIn and by his own admission was to make his company seem bigger..
