Take a Structured Settlement: Wait a Little While; But THEN, Why Wait?
An “A-HA! moment” approaches
One or more individuals who solicit trial lawyers and people with special needs to place them into structured settlements have concurrent ownership, via settlement planner owned factoring company (or ties to a factoring company), which using factoring call out “Why Wait?” (for your structured settlement payments) in its Internet and YouTube advertising?
Hypocrisy for Profit?
Only 4 years after the individual attended the JG Wentworth Thought Leadership Conference in June 2008
The Structured Settlement Watchdog® has obtained documents, through public sources, that connect one or more individuals believed to be actively appointed with structured annuity markets (like Allstate Life. MetLife, New York Life, Prudential, Pacific Life, John Hancock Life and others)-to outbound marketing channels of a factoring company*.
In my June 19, 2008 post, I cited Michael Upchurch of Jacksonville Florida based Delta Group “The secondary markets are a legal and business reality. As an industry, we should be more proactive in developing best practices related to factoring. We should advise our clients before and following the settlement. Where factoring is appropriate, we should assist the original structured settlement recipient to obtain as much money as possible. Delta Settlements wants to play a leadership role in helping our industry develop a more enlightened, and more effective, factoring strategy. If done correctly, we can improve our sales growth as well improve the secondary market.”
If you are resourceful all the information is available on the Internet, through public sources, at time of posting.
Structured Settlement Factoring is a Legal Business
If there is/was nothing illegal about the factoring business, or a settlement planner owned factoring company, what puzzles us is why this individual and his brokerage affiliation is/was not transparent?
