Since Obama has brought back the 1970s-1980s swashbuckling economic icon Paul Volcker, it seems appropriate for the structured settlement industry to bring back an advertisement of that era to fight irresponsible factoring advertising and the forces of instant gratification vs stability and longevity insurance.
Setting aside 1970s fashion sense, Heinz simple but timeless message , to the Carly Simon's classic "Anticipation", is that the taste is worth the wait. Many feel that the long term financial security of structured settlements is also worth the wait. Even more so in today's turbulent economic times when the stock market drops more than the rate of a CD daily.
Think about it! In another Heinz commercial, a man is kept waiting for his girlfriend who he picking up at her parents' house. While he is waiting, the parents offer him a burger, with Heinz ketchup. Take heed of the final exchange within the commercial where the girlfriend says "Sorry you had to wait" to which the reply is "I'm not!"
