Back in my college days when I had a DJ business and was spinning records (yeah records!) I had a knack for picking out which sound was going to work with another. At the time I dreamed of being an A&R Director (artist & repertoire) for a major label.
Well today it seems that Jack Meligan, of Settlement Professionals, Inc. (SPI), and former President of the Society of Settlement Planners (SSP), appreciates my good name and established audience so much that he’s used my name without authorization to promote the Settlement Professionals Inc. videos on Structured Settlement Approved Lists even though I’m not part of the content.

Having already reviewed the “do it yourself”, hand flapping laden videos Jack posted last month on the Settlement Professionals blog I guess he must have felt my review worthwhile enough to “hot tag” me.
If you check out the grainy HIPAA Scare video, Meligan has downscaled to thumb twiddling, just before he apparently hears “a voice” in his head and with all the subtlety of a jackhammer at piano recital, suddenly places his hands in his lap. Then one should have one’s lines sufficently rehearsed or have the teleprompter in front instead of your right as it was in Meligan’s case, so that it seems like you’re playing “zoom schwartz profigliano” with the camera.
If I were producing a video podcast, I’d hire someone to do it professionally — and I certainly wouldn’t use a competitor’s name to promote an unrelated video. But that’s just me.
