Who do you go to if you want to set up a structured settlement?

The marketing swarm on the internet can be confusing for consumers. Let's start with who not to go to, if you want to set up a structured settlement.

One thing is for sure if you are interested in setting up a structured settlement do not go to any of these companies because, as structured settlement payment buyers they cannot help you:

  1. JG Wentworth does not set up structured settlements.
  2. 321 Henderson does not set up structured settlements.
  3. Stone Street Capital does not set up structured settlements,
  4. Peachtree Settlement Funding does not set up structured settlements,
  5. Patriot Settlements do not set up structured settlements.
  6. Rapid Settlements do not set up structured settlements.
  7. Settlement Capital does not set up structured settlements
  8. Prosperity Partners do not set up structured settlements

Don't let yourself be confused! Help with structured settlements is easy to find.

  • A good way to see if you are talking to someone who can legitimately fill your needs is to check to see if the website you are looking at shows that the solictor is a member of the National Structured Settlement Trade Association (NSSTA).  The majority of people who can help you set up a structured settlement are members of the NSSTA. A new initiative of the NSSTA is to have the NSSTA logo on each of its member's websites.
  • Also check to see if the individual solicitor is licensed to do insurance business in your state. Many state insurance departments have quick and convenient online searches which enable you to instantly verify if an agent or broker is licensed in your state.
  • You can also check with the insurance companies that manufacture or issue structured settlement annuities to see if they have heard of the person that is advertising that they set up structured settlements. Click the link for a list of companies that issue structured settlement annuities

Not all the companies on your list claim to set up structured settlements. My response can be found on the Factoring Channel.

Kirk, certainly your organization does not directly make that claim, yet the direct claims of some or the implied claims of others serve to confuse the consumer and divert business to both industries. I get calls from people who want to factor and I’m sure that the false advertisers who advertise “free structured settlement quote” get calls from people who want to set up a structured settlements. Eliminating that potential confusion is the purpose of the post.
