It is well established that if you sell your structured settlement payments, you will NEVER EVER get ALL of your settlement.
The answer does not change from cash now company to cash now company, or whether or not the company is a member of the National Association of Settlement Purchasers (NASP).
In my August 21, 2008 post Peachtree Settlement Funding Continues to Lie to Consumers, I lambasted Peachtree Settlement Funding, a member of the National Association of Settlement Purchasers, for its blatant false advertising that selling your structured settlement for a lump sum equates to getting all of your money now.
- Selling your structured settlement means trading your future structured settlement payments for a DISCOUNTED lump sum payment.
- Selling your structured settlement for cash also means that you won't get all your your money today because the process takes time to comply with state and federal law.
CBC Settlement Funding, another member of the National Association of Settlement Purchasers has, since 2014, aired and continues to air a television ad that says at 0:26-0:29 "receive all or just a portion of your settlement today".
CBC Settlements claim as to "all of your settlement" is utter rubbish and just another example of blatant false advertising by cash now for structured settlement companies.
CBC Settlement Funding Co-Founder James Goodman even uploaded this rubbish claim to his YouTube Channel. Did he even watch the commercial (which I personally saw on the WE network at or about 530am on February 16, 2016) ? Who approved the script?
The next time members of Congress, the Senate and judges are lobbied by the National Association of Settlement Purchasers seeking a favor, add this to the pile of crap that members of the structured settlement secondary market excrete on a regular basis.
Why is it that certain members of NASP cannot tell the truth about what they sell? Why falsely raise the expectations of someone in dire straits? One should not have to lie when you are providing a service that people truly need right?
