S2KM's Patrick Hindert presented a number of concept maps as part of his presentation to the National Association of Settlement Purchasers (NASP) including a particular concept map describing an "Overview of the Structured Settlement Market".
Given the intended audience of Hindert's presentation you would naturally have to "discount" the information flow at the national average of 19.9%. However, in this case Court approval was not required and no 40% excise tax was applied (nyuk! nyuk!)
All kidding aside, Hindert has been a strong proponent of the "one big happy industry" hypothesis asserting there are primary and secondary components that he calls "the primary structured settlement market" and "the secondary structured settlement market".
Despite his efforts to push this theory over the last few years, I respectfully disagree with Hindert on this point and offer my own perception which I believe to be a better reflection on what is generally accepted. Please download my own concept map.
