" You have a structured settlement or annuity… actually that is our business" chirps the ad for Stone Street Capital on Twitter, featuring Kermit the Frog drinking Lipton tea. The message from Stone Street Capital is perhaps an unintended double entendre that "on the one hand" suggests an attempt to justify the controversial scraping of court records by the structured settlement secondary market.
According to the Muppet Wiki , the late Jim Henson "made the first Kermit from one of his mother's old coats with Ping-Pong balls for his eyes". People who rush to sell their structured settlements could learn from Henson's timeless frugality.
Be more like Kermit and less like Miss Piggy. Preserve your income stream and only consider selling your structured settlement as an alternative, after you explored and exhausted all other options.
