New York SSPA refers to the New York Structured Settlement Protection Act. New York’s Structured Settlement Protection Act (SSPA) is codified in the New York General Obligations Law (GOL) Article 5, Title 17, §§ 5‑1701 through 5‑1709 , a law intended to establish certain required disclosures when a structured settlement is established or ther is anb attept to transfer and Court approval before a transfer of structured settlement payment rights can be completed.
