SettlementDecisions.com has replaced its once-prominent “Sarah Chen, CFP®” authorship claims with content attributed to “Med F., Founder & Settlement Analyst.”
The abbreviated biography provides little information beyond a first name and last initial, offering readers no obvious way to independently verify the author’s identity, qualifications, or professional background.
The change comes weeks after Structured Settlements 4Real® documented the “Sarah Chen” persona appearing across seven consumer-finance websites under multiple biographies, multiple photographs, and claims of CFP® certification that could not be verified through the CFP Board’s public directory.

Whether “Med F.” represents a real individual, a pen name, or simply a minimalist author profile remains unclear. What is clear is that transparency about authorship remains a recurring challenge for consumer-finance websites seeking credibility while publishing financial guidance.
The Med F. switcharoo leaves consumers with a familiar problem: a financial-content website asking readers to trust expertise while providing only a first name, a last initial, and a generic description of research activities. For a site already associated with the synthetic Sarah Chen CFP® persona and a growing body of wildly inaccurate structured-settlement content, the appearance of yet another difficult-to-verify author profile is unlikely to inspire confidence. After all, CFP® is a credential consumers can verify. “F.” is an initial consumers can only guess at.
