Let’s see which jokers continue to “celebrate” the 88 year old Mets former owner’s misfortune of being a victim of
Bernie Madoff on Monday July 1, 2024 (hereinafter “El Uno De Julio”) and a “nothing unusual except for Madoff” deferred payment agreement that has been surpassed by other athletes many times over.

If Prolonging dead felon Bernie Madoff’s memory for relevance is the best that Mets fans, annuity sellers and certain Journalists can do, that’s pretty sad

In early June I again made the case for shelving Bobby Bonilla Day, because Shohei Ohtani eats Bonilla’s lunch 
many times over without the taint of Madoff. Bonilla had nothing to do with Madoff, but history of his so called day is a nothing burger without it as I explained here:

Los Angeles County Proclaims May 17th Shohei Ohtani Day for the next decade, 24 years after Bobby Bo signed his 1999 contract.
“Ohtani was honored at Los Angeles City Hall and was presented with the resolution. Members of the Dodgers front office and manager Dave Roberts were in attendance as the council recognized Ohtani with the honor for his athletic achievements and “historic impact as an Angeleno of Japanese descent”.
