In or about February 29, 2012 a series of websites which make unauthorized use of the author's name, were registered anonymously off shore, for the purpose of defaming this blog's author.
The line between fair commentary and something that defies civility and decency in any culture in the world has been crossed by a wide margin.
For example the pictures associated with these websites depict children abusing alcohol, sleeping drunks, a young child purportedly "bobbing for rooster fries" (apparently the red neck turkey version of rocky mountain oysters) and more.
What's the end game to this blight of childish name calling? Are these folks any different than a punk with no artistic talent and a can of spray paint?
I am a big supporter of the First Amendment, but free speech should be out in the open, in my opinion. A system that is more concerned about spam than intellectual property is flawed. A system that permits punks to register domains of abuse privately without mandatory identity checks is flawed.
The perpetrators of the defamation have no respect for copyrights and trademarks and their premeditated action, which includes a sophisticated layer of identity concealment using offshore registrations and other techniques that were designed to tortiously interfere with this author's business. They could just as easily do the same to you.
In the meantime a $5,000 "bounty" has been placed for the accurate identification of the perpetrator responsible for defamation web sites using this author's name,** a member of the structured settlement industry with obviously something significant to hide and apparently lacking the confidence to man-up (or woman-up) and compete with this author out in the open.
**NOTE: Only one "bounty" will be paid. In order to become entitled to the reward, the "bounty hunter" must be the first person to accurately identify the person responsible for the defamatory websites, consistent with any determination that may be made by the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut regarding the perpetrator's identity. The perp is not eligible!
