A CBC blood test will sometimes be ordered by your doctor to monitor your health,  watch for indirect indications of disease direction, and side effects of treatment.  But when it comes to those with structured settlement payments, do you really need a CBC?

Complete_blood_count_cbcr "Complete Blood Count"?

You see "cash now pusher" Covered Bridge Capital Settlement Funding  (CBC Settlement Funding) falsely advertises that you can "get your cash today!" in an advertisement accompanying its press release* announcing its corporate HQ move from Blue Bell to Conshohocken, Pennsylvania. Any reasonable person reading this could be misled to believe that you can make the call and get your money wired into your account today. Structured settlement factoring transactions must be approved by a Court as being in your best interest and that of your dependents. There are liens searches,  forms to fill out and sign,  and you need to be able to articulate your reasons for cashing out. Even if all the forms were filled out today, there is still a wait to get a Court date.  Some cash now pushers offer a small amount ( e.g. $2,000) to tide you over, but that is not what the CBC Settlement Funding advertising implies, does it?

CBC also presents an interesting character study in its press release. It has human beings as both a title and a rule of conduct.

William J. Skyrm, former in-house counsel for "The Bryn Mawr Bunch- JG Wentworth, is listed as a Principal, while another JG Wentworth alum James Goodman, is described as a "Principle". To those old enough to remember, this may cue visions of  "Shimmer", the fictional Saturday Night Live product touted by Chevy Chase to be both a floor wax AND a dessert topping.

The "principle" that leads a company, like CBC Settlement Funding, to the use of false cash now advertising is not a very good start, in my opinion. The company's use of "cash today" is egregious.

If you have a structured settlement, need cash and you have exhausted other options,  there are plenty of companies in the factoring industry that are both competitive and do not falsely advertise.

And, if you need a CBC,  go see your doctor!
