I don't know about you but a certain Easter Island Head comes to mind.
A structured settlement does not preserve an economy or control inflation. If it did the laws permitting the sale of structured settlement payment rights by annuitants would never have been approved by Congress.

"Buy and hold" is an investment strategy based on the premise that over a period of time financial markets provide investors with give a good rate of return despite periods of volatility. The term does not apply to stuctured settlements
In its simplest terms a structured settlement does not preserve the economy of control inflation. Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke appears almost weekly on CNBC or C-Span and I have yet to find structured settlement in any of his speeches.
