"In order to prevent potential customer confusion", AIG American General announced it will no longer allow the use of the Certified Senior Advisor designation on any form of advertising or sales materials; including business cards and stationery. While this information came to this author through sources connected to the company outside its structured settlement operation, it is clear which way the company intends to go.
My December 12, 2007 post SFSP Studying Ways to Clamp Down on Use of Bogus Professional Designations or Misleading Use of Legitimate Professional Designations, sheds further light on the issue.
Will Delta Group now be getting notice concerning Delta Group's continued use of an apparently bogus financial designation "Registered Settlement Advisor" (see last FAQ on the link) in its marketing materials?
