'There's a built in conflict of interest and, as my readers have seen in prior posts, some of the information is simply inaccurate and irresponsible.

Annuity issuers like Allstate (12,165), AIG (30,526) MetLife (21,412), New York Life (54,264) John Hancock (143,178); Genworth (176,313) could be a more powerful force in the structured settlement education process by establishing cross linking programs with its appointed brokers who have websites. The likely result will be solving a problem and a mutual increase in new business.

**despite best efforts by many of them to try to rewrite established industry definitions through misleading advertising, factoring companies… those companies whose business might include the purchase of structured settlement payment rights, are not structured settlement brokers.

*** Solely for the purpose of this post Structured Settlements 4Real is discounting (no pun intended) the association of The Society of Settlement Planners with factoring companies
