Settlement Capital Corporation, a specialty finance company involved in factoring transactions that "gets it", has set up a new blog on the Legal Broadcast Network.
On its web site Settlement Capital sets itself apart from those factoring companies that claim that they are something that they are not (e.g. JG Wentworth and its alter egos, Novation Capital et al.)Through the new blog its goal is to provide education about its industry and its stated hope is "to cut through a great deal of the misconceptions, clutter and confusion regarding the process of obtaining liquidity from a settlement annuity or other fixed payment stream."
Any method to clarify and distinguish the structured settlement industry from the factoring industry is welcome and will surely benefit consumers. The interaction of issues presented in Settlement Capital’s new blog, Structured Settlements 4Real and The Settlement Channel (and others who join the discussion) will hopefully burn off the smog on the the structured settlement information highway.
