Sploggers should stick to their day jobs before they cause real financial harm to people who read (and possibly believe) their uninformed crap. These spam bloggers (sploggers) do a disservice to both the structured settlement industry, the factoring industry and the consumers these industries serve. Regulators should pay more attention to sploggers like Adam Short.

Adam Short writes about all sorts of things like "Psoriasis Diagnosis", "How to Tan Naturally", "Omega 3's" and "Prostate Treatment" and "Keeping your Betta Fish Healthy". His mother Teresa Short of Bellevue, Washington claimed that he is certified nutritionist on her vitamin plugging blog supplementals-resource.com. Does this qualify Adam Short as an "expert" on structured settlements sufficient to be published in EZIne articles and in Humorous Automotive called Structured Settlements 101" which preambles with Poetry. Ezine Articles needs to do a better job of qualifying its experts if it is to be a credible and meaningful resource for consumers. Now back to Mr. Short…

Adam Short: A structured settlement is a contract under which an insurance company undertakes to make periodic payments to an injured party as part of a bodily injury claim settlement or to a surviving family member to whom a large settlement has been awarded. These are just two examples of where a structured settlement might be used.

Structured Settlements 101 Fact: (1) A structured settlement may be undertaken by a defendant, a group of defendants an insurance company, or companies, insuring that defendant or group of defendants or the trustee of a qualified settlement fund (2) You can't be awarded a settlement. It is a compromise between two or more parties in exchange for consideration.

Adam Short on Structured Settlement Alternatives: It's quite easy to see that a structured settlement can work to the advantage of all parties in a variety of circumstances. However, there are occasions when the beneficiary of a structured settlement would prefer not to have periodic payments, preferring instead a lump sum payment. Such might be the case where an individual would like an amount of money to purchase a home, perhaps to cover large medical bills or to pay off a mortgage.

Structured Settlements 101 Fact: The statement is true but out of context. Adam Short  presents no meaningful alternatives except a half hearted attempt to explain how to get out of a structured settlement. He fails to mention about special needs trusts, settlement preservation trusts, Medicare set aside trusts, split funding, index annuities, variable annuity structured settlements, non qualified assignments, integration of settlements with life insurance, health insurance and long term care insurance.

Adam Short may be a certified nutritionist but rely on his unqualified structured settlement advice and you're brain cells will likely be malnourished. His Structured Settlement Info splog  which touts "the latest in structured settlement news" does not deliver as promised. What he does deliver supermarket tabloid fare such as "Clerk Steals Lottery Tickets" and "Pirates Note Book". and "Advocates for All-Day Kindergarten"
