What is a genius?

"A genius is a person who displays exceptional intellectual ability, creativity, or originality, typically to a degree that is associated with the achievement of unprecedented insight. There is no scientifically precise definition of genius, and the question of whether the notion itself has any real meaning has long been a subject of debate. The term is used in various ways: to refer to a particular aspect of an individual, or the individual in his or her entirety; to a scholar on may subjects (e.g. Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz or Leonardo da Vinci) or a scholar in a single subject (e.g., Albert Einstein or Charles Darwin)." Let's start with that.

By associating themselves with Albert Einstein and his image, Einstein Structured Settlements'  imply that they are scholars in a single subject, structured settlements

Einstein Structured Settlements'  self-aggrandizement is both unconvincing and misleading because, as we have clearly demonstrated in prior blog posts, they know very little about structured settlements.

A good amount of the information Einstein presents on its websites and blogs is unreliable.  Einstein has used false academic credentials and apparently fake testimonials to try and drum up business.

Workers Compensation | Another Einstein failed stab at being genius

In a November 29, 2012 blog post on WordPress, Einstein knits a yarn (yawn) about the old stereotypical Pittsburgh, PA steel worker that gets hurt on the job.  The injured worker "hires a good lawyer and heads into a court of law". Einstein then says that "the old steel mill factory has insurance and they offer to pay you out monthly what you were making after taxes were taken out"

Einstein then suggests that you can sell the workers compensation structured settlement payments to a funding company.

Here's a few new reasons why Einstein Structured Settlements is untrustworthy as a source of accurate information.

  • Generally,  you cannot sell workers compensation structured settlement payments in Pennsylvania.
  • Workers compensation payments are income tax free pursuant to Internal Revenue Code Section 104(a)(1)

Looks like those responsible for Einstein need to spend more time in the library.

One of the worst things about Einstein Structured Settlements, in my professional opinion,  is that they have shown no willingness to correct inaccurate information that has been pointed out to them directly, or in this forum.
