How does one cure digital diarrhea? Is there such a thing as Blogger's Bismol or Ploppler's Modium?
On November 18, 2008 SSP and NSSTA member, and former Executive Director Patrick Hindert, of Terrace Park, Ohio, was back to his pedantic worst with a post entitled "J.G. Wentworth Structured Settlement Survey" to which this author responded "J.G. Wentworth Structured Settlement Survey Irrelevant." On November 23, 2008 Hindert's running at the mouth continued with "Structured Settlement Surveys" in which he still has not developed the first topic. Generally it's a good idea to be concise and to stick to the topic that is relevant to your title (although in this case the subject of the title "J.G.Wentworth Structured Settlement Survey" is Indeed IRRELEVANT for all the reasons cited in my November 19, 2008 post).
Hail to Denham Grey and Lilia Efimova. Your student appears to have become "de-mentored" and needs your help.
"Vigorous writing is concise. A sentence should contain no unnecessary words, a paragraph no unnecessary sentences, for the same reason that a drawing should have no unnecessary lines and a machine no unnecessary parts" William Strunk, Jr. The Elements of Style "a forty-three-page summation of the case for cleanliness, accuracy, and brevity in the use of English"-E.B.
