Structured Settlement Services, LLC, an Oklahoma company for which attorney Richard B. Risk, Jr. is the registered agent, proclaims in an "urgent notice" that comes up in a script when the website at structuredsettlements(dot)org is loaded:
"If you have a structured settlement, then you may be the victim of a fraud scheme. Millions of dollars have been recovered for alleged fraud by structured settlement companies. Results will vary by each case, but you should contact a lawyer now to see if you qualify. You could be entitled to money damages"
In my opinion, the statement is cheap and tasteless at best. It's a shill for Dick Risk's legal services.
What is soooooo… "urgent" that there is a need to spew it out before even informing consumers about structured settlements, something that then insurance agent Richard B. Risk, Jr. was decent at circa 1998-2002.
According to the Structured Settlement Services LLC website, Robert Risk, the owner of the LLC,the domain registrant and son of attorney and former structure broker Richard B. Risk, Jr. ("Dick Risk"), who is affiliated with a California managing general agent, posted those named below who are structured settlement producers of that agency, in the broker section of that directory. Unfortunately because of the software code script that causes the "fraud solicitation" to pop up, these people's names are perhaps unwittingly associated with it.
Say you search for a name in the next paragraph together with "structured settlements" and you click on the search result associated with the structuredsettlements (dot)org. If the searcher then clicks home to bring him/her to the SSS home page, as is normal when figuring out how to navigate a new website, it the "fraud solicitation" pops up.

Did it ever reflect your feelings about structured settlements and how you hold yourself out to the public?
