Sell Any Annuity’s careless tweet exposes the fraud on structured settlement consumers. The tweet (see below), which was posted on the Twitter feed of one of at least three websites that generates leads for CBC Settlement Funding, makes the false and wholly misleading claim that its mission is “to help you find the best possible buyer once you’re ready to sell your #annuity or #structuredsettlement.”
“Find a Best Possible Broker” Scam Made by Sell Any Annuity With A Sole Beneficiary
CBC Settlement Funding is not a company that I would recommend that structured settlement consumers patronize. CBC Settlement Funding, the longstanding beneficiary of questionable predatory advertising has been well documented. Earlier this month the predator lead generators for CBC, pitched annuitants with “Keep your eye on the prize” as if CBC Settlement Funding’s money losing pennies on the dollar value proposition was a prize. Based on the specific dishonest business practices, that I’ve already documented, I smelled a rat.
I called the toll-free number on the tweet three times and CBC Settlement Funding states that it records the calls. That’s great to document the calls and to confirm the Sell Any Annuity/CBC scam, all of which were all made around 6pm on Monday August 20, 2018. The first call was to confirm that it was CBC Settlement Funding.
The second call nobody answered
The third call was answered by someone named Mike from CBC Settlement Funding with whom I engaged in a purportedly recorded conversations about the tweet. I asked Mike if there was any other company besides CBC Settlement Funding (relating what was claimed in the tweet) and Mike confirmed that CBC Settlement Funding is the only company. I thanked Mike for his time, told him who I was and that I was speaking as structured settlement watchdog and said I know this call is being recorded so there is a permanent record which should be preserved.
Any judge considering a petition from CBC Settlement Funding should be aware of how CBC Settlement Funding generates leads for business.
