A Google search for “plantiff” draws 457,000 results! And it appears that few are immune. It really is amazing when you consider 
that the origins of “plantiff” stem (ha ha) from Reverend John Lyon’s 19th century “short account” of The history of the town and port of Dover and Dover Castle, Volume 1, where “plantiff” appeared on page 328, 13 times!
