Convicted felon Joseph E. Gargan, a disgrace to the structured settlement industry, reported to prison to begin serving his sentence for millions of dollars Gargan embezzled in crimes against the United States government as well as a New York State Hospital (that impacted a severely disabled child)
According to the Federal Bureau of Prisons Inmate Locater, Joseph Gargan, 60, has been given inmate number 02366-509. The Bureau of Prisons website shows that Gargan is in custody and incarcerated at FCI Loretto, a minimum security facility located in in Loretto, Cambria County in Western Pennsylvania.
The PACER record for the case shows no entries since October 9, 2020.
In addition to his criminal case, several other legal cases against Gargan reveal that Gargan was a rotten apple who left a trail of bad debts in his wake, shafting former Pension Company brokers for hundreds of thousands in commissions after he acquired The Pension Company from Frank Pension in 2014.
