StructuredSettlement-Quotes (SSQ) a website acquired by Genex Capital in or about November 2011, and used as a brandjacking vehicle ever since, is also one of the leading purveyors of structured settlement misinformation.
One of least useful aspects of the Genex Capital owned SSQ website is a 42 page list of insurance companies followed by descriptive information most of which include information that is outdated and inaccurate. Few of these currently issue or ever issued structured settlement annuities. One example is a listing for Hartford Life and Annuity Insurance Company. The Genex Capital (SSQ) listing lists David N. Levenson as the President, when in fact David N. Levenson has not been the President of Hartford Life since 2009.
The other listings of insurers are also riddled with inaccuracy and many of the Standard & Poors credit ratings have not been updated and present falsehoods to consumers. A consumer would have been easily able to verify the current ratings of the life insurer by going to the insurer's website, but because it is clear that Genex Capital (SSQ)'s inclusion of these ratings was part of its brandjacking exercise, there have not been live links to the insurer websites.
Upon information and belief Genex Strategies, Inc. canned the person working on the project (and whose role included the listing of insurers) in or about September 2012, a person who later referred to Genex Capital CEO Roger Proctor (in a writing) as a "small time brandjacking f*ck".
The about us section of the SSQ website looks like it hasn't been updated since 2011. "Over the past five years we have been driving down discount rates. In 2011 SSQ's customer average discount rate was 8.67 percent. 8.67% is not a competitive average discount rate in 2017.
Genex Capital (SSQ)'s news section hasn't been updated since 2012. 28% of Genex Capital (SSQ)'s news articles are at least 9 years old.
But if you want to get a "present day value" on the "fanny count" on Wreck Beach Vancouver on Skinny Dip Day Roger Proctor's your guy. Roger Proctor writes the check at C$5 per fanny very July.
Genex Capital (SSQ) Dubious Better Business Bureau information
The Better Business Bureau report for SSQ states that SSQ is a sole proprietorship, with a sole proprietor listed as "Brad Jones"
I will use the same resource that Genex Capital uses to justify its use of the term annuity to describe a structured settlement derivative on one of its other websites, Assured Annuity, (Merriam Website) "a business owned and controlled by one person who is solely liable for its obligations"
A sole proprietorship, also known as the sole trader or simply a proprietorship, is a type of enterprise that is owned and run by one natural person and in which there is no legal distinction between the owner and the business entity. The owner is in direct control of all elements and is legally accountable for the finances of such business and this may include debts, loans, loss, etc. [Source: Wikipedia]

In September 2012, despite (upon information and belief) (1) Boris Drubetsky's credit card was used more than once to pay the cost of the Regus space at 100 Pearl Street (and that mail was being for forwarded to Genex Capital in Vancouver) and the fact that until May 2012 and (2), officers of Genex Capital were listed as SSQ contacts on the BBB public facing record for SSQ, Genex Capital COO Boris Drubetsky denied in writing that Genex Capital was associated with SSQ and referred questions to Brad Jones.
On February 22, 2016 RWP (initials perhaps coincidentally jive with Roger Wilson Proctor the CEO of Genex Capital), stated on the Pissed Consumer complaint site that Genex Capital has owned SSQ for 5 years. The SSQ website states that the site is a member of the Genex Capital group. On another complaint about SSQ on the Pissed Consumer, the website SSQ is "defended" by Boris Drubetsky COO of Genex Capital on May 17, 2016. No comments from Brad Jones even though it's his "sole proprietorship".
If Genex Capital is the owner and Brad Jones is listed as sole proprietorship listed on the BBB record on file with the Better Business Bureau of CT, that is controlled by the owner, is it reasonable to conclude one or more of the following?
- Brad Jones is a fictitious name
- Genex Capital is Brad Jones, Roger Proctor is Brad Jones or Boris Drubetsky is Brad Jones
- The Genex Capital (SSQ) BBB should be updated to address the inconsistency.
