AIG Sack Dance By “The Few and The Disgruntled” Annuity Brokers is Downgraded To “Hacky Sack”

by Structured Settlement Watchdog

“Panic is a recurring human behavior. Solvency is a recurring insurance behavior.”

An October 8, 2008 memo from Richard C. Woolams Chief Claims Officer of AIG Commercial Insurance Group reaffirming AIG’s commitment to its structured settlement program regardless of whether or not its structured annuity issuing subsidiaries are sold downgrades the putative “sack dance” being performed by certain individuals in the industry like it was the end of the movie  Rudy, into a mild form of “hacky sack”

AIG was doing structured settlements long before its acquisition of American General in 2001. Many other property and casualty companies support the use of structured settlements without having an affiliated life insurance company.

The industry is on a new paradigm. Check your baggage at the door!
