The Wall Street Journal alerts us that the U.S. entered a recession in December 2007, citing the official recession watchers at the National Bureau of Economic Research. NBER economists met on Friday and announced the day after Thanksgiving (when few people could argue in hindsight that the only thing that has expanded over the last year and a day would be their waist lines) and declared the end of the "expansion" that began in November 2001, lasting 73 months. I've been hanging onto the edge of my seat for this one folks, I really have.
