Attention Trial Lawyer Associations! Just because you are interested in fundraising, does that mean that the truth must be compromised to your fellow members and the victims YOUR MEMBERS represent? What does that say to other actual and potential contributors who might support your causes?

Questions for examination

Why did Ohio Trial Lawyers permit an advertisement from a Forge Consulting, LLC to appear in its directory featuring a person who wasn’t even licensed to do insurance business in the State of Ohio?

Does OTLA support those who appear to effectively mock the insurance laws of their state?

What has Rhode Island Trial Lawyers done after it became known in February that Howard Saperston, III and Forge Consulting, LLC made the false and preposterous statement (in solicitation of business) that Forge Consulting is the only plaintiff exclusive company in the country?

Why does the Massachusetts Academy and several other trial lawyer associations continue to allow Forge Consulting, LLC to falsely advertise that it is the first new structured settlement firm in more than a decade.

  • Georgia Trial Lawyers Association click Download ga_tlapartnersforge_consulting_another_1st_new_structure_firm_claim.pdf .
  • Here’s are three screenshots of Forge Consulting, LLC website webpage dated 04/03/2007, 05/13/2007 and today 08/05/2007 that discuss or characterize the financial contributions it has made to various TLAs. You will note that the 04/03/2007 screen shot incorrectly refers to ATLA (the acronym which Forge incorrectly translated as the American Trial Lawyers Association) and the 05/13/2007 correctly refers to AAJ (American Association for Justice)

Now look at the screen shots from the intro page where the first major new structured settlement firm in more than a decade appears on April 3, 2007, May 13, 2007 and August 5, 2007.

Is this calculated deception on the part of Forge Consulting, LLC or is just MORE evidence of "lack of attention to detail" ? Why did Forge make the correction "ATLA" to "AAJ" but NOTthe other between April 3, 2007 and May 13, 2007? The "Structured Settlement Advertising Watchdog" Dog 20barked notice of the advertising defect on Structured Settlements 4Real for the first time in December 2005 (click here) so its not like the "duh I didn’t know" excuse will work this time). There are state and federal laws concerning truth in advertising.

Why is any trial lawyer association permitting Forge Consulting to tastelessly advertise, on its website or in print advertising, the quantum of money, or to characterize the quantum of money they gave to your association?

Why did the New York Trial Lawyers Association honor Forge Consulting, LLC  given that it falsely advertised to NYSTLA members that it was NYSTLA’s only plaintiff exclusive structured settlement firm in addition to the above? Download forgeconsultingad_plaintiff_exclusive.pdf

Hammering It Home Construction

In my opinion keep the heat on Forge Consulting, LLC!  Do you really think that they are going to pull their funding or contributions to your association? They clearly need you! AND, if a threat is made when you are asking them to simply correct  or remove public advertising and solicitation that is either not true OR not justifiable (i.e. the questionnable "equivocated, guaranteed rate of approximately 15%" for structured attorney fees) what would that say about Forge Consulting, LLC?
